It was a special Veterans Day honoring and celebrating all our awesome veterans at River Crossing of St. Charles! We created a beautiful honor board with photos of veterans in our lives (past and present) and in our facility. We also held a very special pinning ceremony for our Veterans at River Crossing of St. Charles. Patriotic decorations and cake were there for all to enjoy. It was a very moving and memorable day for all of us. #LifeAtAbleHearts #AbleHearts #VeteransDay #HonoringandCelebrating #LoveWithoutLimits #SafetyFirstFamilyAlways

Most of us know someone who has been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, whether it’s touched our own family or a friend’s loved ones. Nationally, November is known as Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. Although everyone experiences a change in brain function as they age, what occurs with Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. Alzheimer’s is a progressive neurodegenerative disease, which means it gets worse over time, and the person affected eventually loses the ability to accomplish daily tasks. Whether it’s during November or any other time of the year, understanding Alzheimer’s disease can improve the quality of life for those with previously undiagnosed Alzheimer’s. To familiarize yourself with the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's visit www.alz.org. If you notice these in yourself or someone you know, don't ignore them. Schedule an appointment with your doctor.
