There is a lot of misinformation regarding the cause and impact of the technology outages being reported today. This was not a ransomware event or caused by Microsoft. A cybersecurity firm, Crowdstrike, released an update that caused the events that are being reported. River Run’s R-Security does not employ Crowdstrike and therefore our managed clients that trust us for endpoint protection have not been directly affected by the unfortunate outage cause by this update released by Crowdstrike.
