We had such a wonderful time last week at the Waterkeeper Alliance Global Conference! We always gain inspiration and fortitude when we spend time with fellow Waterkeepers. Thank you Waterkeeper Alliance and conference hosts Milwaukee Riverkeeper for bringing us together to share knowledge in Milwaukee! In keeping with tradition, some attendees got the iconic WKA sturgeon as tattoos! #H2OClimateAction #TurntheTide2024 #CleanWaterForAll

Last weekend Riverkeeper and the Media Sanctuary conducted our penultimate sampling for the 2024 season of the Upper Hudson River from Troy to Newcomb — over 150 miles of river. This part of the river is sampled in less than six hours by some of Riverkeeper's most dedicated volunteers! Back at the Water Justice Lab, the fellows for this year are processing the samples for Enterococcus, an indicator that helps us determine whether the water is safe for recreation. A special thanks to our volunteers and Water Justice Fellows for their vital work and dedication! 📷 : Doug Reed and Kathy High #Riverkeeper #WaterQuality #HudsonRiver #WaterJustice

🌊🐋 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Riverkeeper's Whale Watch & Dolphin Cruise! It was amazing to have over 100 people aboard the American Princess as we marveled at several majestic whales and numerous playful dolphins — a beautiful reminder of the incredible marine life our waters can support when we work together to protect them 🐬💙 Special thanks to Gotham Whale’s Naturalist and Riverkeeper’s Habitat Restoration team for sharing their insightful knowledge about the different types of whales we encountered, what they eat, and how they are making a remarkable return to our waterways 🌿🐳 It was a beautiful day on the water, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of Longwave Financial, whose sponsorship made this unforgettable experience possible 🌟 Together, we can make a lasting impact on our waters and the diverse life they sustain. We look forward to seeing you at future Riverkeeper events and continuing this journey with you 🌊🛥️ 📷: Mark Liflander #Riverkeeper #ProtectOurWaters #WhaleWatch
