Making a Difference, One Ramp at a Time 💚 Continuing a long history of supporting the community, team members from Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital (RSMH), alongside their families, volunteered their time and partnered with the Eastern Shore of Virginia Housing Mission for a special project—building the first ramp for an Eastern Shore resident in need. This time, it was for a gentleman who is an amputee and uses a wheelchair for mobility. The new ramp, replacing unsafe steps, now allows him to safely and easily enter and exit his home, restoring a sense of freedom and independence. “This effort embodies Riverside’s mission: ‘to care for others as we would care for those we love - to enhance their well-being and improve their health,’” says Nick Chuquín, MSHA, FACHE, President of RSMH. “Our team members live this mission every day, serving our community not only within the walls of our hospital but wherever there's a need.” We are incredibly proud of the dedication and compassion shown by the team members at RSMH, who look forward to the next ramp build in the spring. Together, they are making a difference, one project at a time.
