Grateful for CenterPoint Energy's support during Beryl! Like much of Houston, Holcombe House lost power on Monday. Our backup generator would run out of fuel after 24 hours and we faced rising temperatures and potentially unsafe conditions. Our staff began making preparations to relocate our medically fragile families to nearby hotels. CenterPoint Energy answered our call for assistance and at 10pm on Monday night, they delivered a diesel-powered generator AND fuel to run our entire facility until power is fully restored. Centerpoint has been our community partner and corporate hero long before Beryl took aim at the Gulf Coast. Since 1980, they have supported our mission, provided and served meals, volunteered at all levels of our organization, participated in our events and helped us grow our education program through a grant from their foundation. Thank you CenterPoint Energy!

Our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program delivers FREE medical care to underserved communities in Houston. It is staffed by doctors and nurses from Texas Children’s Hospital and serves children from birth to 18. This summer, it will be on the move between local schools, churches, and McDonald’s locations to help children prepare for the school year with physicals, well & sick child visits and immunizations. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile provides more than healthcare – thanks to generous donations we can also provide books, school supplies, socks & underwear, toys, toiletries, and more!

It's always snack time at RMHC Greater Houston! Thank you to the NRG Energy Sales Training Team for the donation of stuffed snack bags! With 111 private rooms and 15 family lounges across 4 locations in the Texas Medical Center, we supply a lot of afternoon munchies and midnight snacks!
