To create is to be human. And, creativity is such an undervalued part of learning, skilling-up, re-skilling, practicing for mastery, and trying on new ways of being. What we bring to what we’re learning is uniquely us — you can’t separate who we are from the craft.

    • A quote by Brené Brown: “We are born makers. We move what we’re learning from our heads to our hearts through our hands."
  • The 2024 Baldrige Fall Conference is just around the corner, and resilience is a topic sprinkled throughout the agenda. • Delegation is key to #PerformanceExcellence and here’s a great infographic with some tips and tricks!

Master the art of delegation: Work smarter, not harder (It took me years to perfect this skill) Effective leadership isn't about doing everything yourself. It's about empowering your team to: - Grow their skills - Take ownership - Contribute meaningfully Micromanaging stunts growth and leads to burnout. The 5-step delegation process: 1. Clearly define what you need 2. Set clear deadlines 3. Provide necessary resources 4. Encourage questions 5. Establish completion criteria Before you start delegating: 1. Identify tasks to delegate: - Assess what can be handed off - Choose tasks that offer growth opportunities 2. Select the right person: - Match tasks to individual strengths - Consider it a development opportunity 3. Provide clear instructions: - Break down the task into manageable steps - Set clear expectations and outcomes 4. Offer support and resources: - Ensure they have the tools to succeed - Be available for questions and guidance 5. Trust and empower: - Show confidence in their abilities - Do not micromanage Delegation is a skill that improves with practice. You can empower your team through thoughtful delegation. ♻️ Share to inspire others to delegate effectively. 🔔 Follow Luke Tobin for more insights on leadership and productivity.

CEO at C-Serv | On a mission to empower tech careers through empathy, inclusivity, and opportunity.

Toxic positivity can kill a team's trust. Leaders, take note: Your team wants both optimism and truth. They need hope, not empty promises. They want a leader who's authentic, not perfect. Fake positivity is won't build trust. It invalidates their struggles. It creates resentment. True optimism sees challenges and inspires action to overcome them. Authentic leaders: • Share both victories and setbacks • Admit mistakes and learn from them • Celebrate progress, not just perfection • Listen to concerns without dismissing them Optimistic leaders: • Paint a compelling vision of the future • Believe in their team's true potential • Find the opportunities in obstacles • Inspire resilience in tough times Empathy is the bridge between authenticity and optimism. It helps you to: • Validate struggles • Offer genuine support • Inspire without alienating Be the leader who says: "This is tough, but we can do it. Let's tackle it together." Optimism + Authenticity = Unbeatable leadership. ♻️ Agree? Repost to share with your network. 📌 Follow Amy Gibson for actionable tips on leadership.
