  • Please join us in congratulating to Annie Walters, RN, Oncology Unit, who was recently honored as Employee of the Month! 👏👏👏 A former patient relayed the following to Annie’s colleague: “Every nurse and tech on the Oncology floor has been exceptional. My father is and can be extremely challenging and the nurses have gone above and beyond. I am my father's full-time caregiver and know some of his daily issues and Annie has been by far one of the most extraordinary and compassionate person and nurse I have encountered. Annie is thorough, comprehensive, compassionate and communicates everything to me. She handles my father well and can change his mood for the positive all the time and gets him to be cooperative even when I cannot. She is just amazing, and I am so very thankful for her and all the staff on the oncology floor. Even when there are questions or things that go wrong, Annie stays calm, kind and collected.”

  • The 16th Annual Steeplechase Distance Run, coordinated by the Somerset Health Care Foundation and founded by breast surgeon, Dr. Cynthia Lee, raised over $92,000 in funds this year. 👏👏👏 All funds raised through entry fees, individual and team fundraising and sponsorships help support the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset.
