🚲 A big thank you and shout out to our incredible Emergency Department Team who recently collected and donated bicycle helmets to support our Level I Trauma Center’s Injury Prevention Program. The helmets will be distributed at All-Wheeled Sports Rodeos that Injury Prevention hosts in partnership with Safe Kids Middlesex County and other community-based organizations throughout the summer and fall. Helmets are provided to children who do not have one or whose families cannot afford them.

Today, RWJBarnabas Health experienced an unexpected global Microsoft outage that, if not managed aggressively and effectively, could have caused significant disruption to the health system. While we continue to work through technical issues, normal operations have resumed across the system. The ingenuity and teamwork demonstrated by RWJBarnabas Health’s workforce was exemplary. Led by the system’s Information Technology Department and Office of Emergency Management, their tireless efforts to resolve issues quickly and efficiently were critical in maintaining patient safety during a time of uncertainty.
