💡Here are some effective tips to counteract the effects of sitting for long periods: 1. Stretch Throughout the Day: Focus on stretches for the hips, hamstrings, and back to counteract tightness from sitting. Try standing hip flexor stretches, chest openers, and shoulder rolls. 2. Do Desk Exercises: Incorporate seated leg lifts, calf raises, or shoulder shrugs. Small movements can help reduce muscle stiffness and keep blood circulating. 3. Practice Good Posture: Adjust your workstation to sit with your feet flat, knees at a 90-degree angle, and a straight spine. Poor posture can worsen the effects of sitting. 4. Try a Stability Ball: Sitting on a stability ball instead of a chair for parts of the day can engage your core muscles and promote better posture.

Recently, we did a company wide training on all things related to ACL Rehab. ✅ Discussing Principles, Heuristics, and Methods ✅ Navigating complexities of ACL rehab ✅ Strength testing / Limb Symmetry Index Calculations ✅ Functional testing ✅ Teaching and programming plyometrics ✅ Motivated coaching with a purpose ✅ Developing a criteria based framework to progress someone accordingly throughout their rehab. We are looking forward to working more with these specific cases to get them back to their goals of sport and activity with the level of attention and detail they deserve!

Does your rehab include utilizing Plyometrics? If not, we are missing on crucial strength and power gains to translate your strength training to tendon elasticity and reactive power. Utilizing a tiered system and different levels of plyometrics, we incorporate these movements and progress accordingly to help build our clients post-injury back to an athletic state.
