Over 80% of the young women Roca serves have been victims of sexual violence. Our work is about showing them that there is a life beyond violence. We’re committed to supporting young women who have faced unimaginable challenges. Through our circles and workshops, we create spaces for healing, growth, and transformation. This year’s theme, Heal, Hold, Center, reminds us that while trauma leaves deep wounds, there is always room for recovery, resilience, and reclaiming one’s future. Recently, our Hartford team had the honor of attending the Purple Flag Raising at Connecticut's State Capitol in solidarity with survivors everywhere.

Cities like Baltimore, where Roca works, and where homicides are the lowest since 2014, are seeing a major drop in violent crime. As Roca's own Kurt Palermo says, “This is not a fluke; this is not luck. This is a systemic approach to a public health crisis.” Full story here: https://hubs.la/Q02RMHg80
