Rock Engineering, a UES company, provided geotechnical engineering for Dawson Elementary and is currently on-site providing construction materials testing support. The geotechnical engineering services scope included drilling, laboratory testing, and engineering analysis of the site. Groundwater readings were taken during drilling, and samples were analyzed in our lab. The new build includes a 12,650 square-foot slab over cartons resting on approximately 109 belled piers. Rock Engineering provided construction materials testing for concrete cylinders, grout prisms, and mortar cubes. We are happy to be partnered with Corpus Christi Independent School District for their new educational facility! #TeamUES #CCISD #DawsonElementary #Education
