As a long-time supporter of Special Olympics, this project is near and dear to my heart, and it was gratifying not only as a construction professional but also as a supporter of their mission to witness the joy on the faces of the athletes and their families as they were welcomed into their new home.” – Steven Frederickson | Executive Vice President

For several months, Rockford has worked closely with the ArtPrize team, the Hotel and David creators, The Underground Circus, to pull off the display and provided the equipment that hoisted Daivd up the 29 stories. For the remainder of the competition, David will be at a parking lot at 45 Ottawa Ave. NW in downtown Grand Rapids and visitors will have a chance to operate him. Be sure to check him out!
