What an amazing night of recognitions at our board meeting! We celebrated student academic success. We highlighted students from 18 schools who scored the maximum score on the SC READY ELA and/or math test. Plus, we recognized a Rock Hill High student who earned a 36 on his ACT, the highest possible score. We also introduced the new Executive Director of Secondary Education to the board, celebrated Sunset Park Center for Accelerated Studies for its Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Lighthouse Award, and thanked Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina for generous donations to our schools.

Since we could not celebrate our teachers last week, we surprised two Rock Hill High School educators today! We sent Mr. Nicholas and Mr. Kuhl into the weekend with a goodie bag and a $100 gift card. We are so grateful that you all show up for our students to help prepare them for the next steps in life. Thank you to The Foundation for Rock Hill Schools for helping us show our appreciation for our teachers.

Our teachers work so hard to get students to understand new lessons. Well, when once the lessons are learned, it is fun to celebrate the new knowledge. The Central Child Development Center students spent the last few weeks learning their colors. To celebrate the end of the lesson, they dressed up and put on a parade in the halls. Thanks for brightening our day 4K! Watch the parade here: https://lnkd.in/g7uWfZaW
