Rockport Terminals is a private multi-modal port facility directly on the Intracoastal Waterway with rail, water, and highway access. Rockport serves South Texas and Mexico markets and allows unique efficiencies for inbound and outbound logistics, including the avoidance of expensive port tariffs.
Major projects are in the construction phase close to Rockport Terminals making the property well situated to take advantage of the activity. The terminal is the only privately owned port facility in the Texas Gulf Coast that has water, rail, and road access and is outside the jurisdiction of a Port Authority. This is a unique opportunity for a JV partner or purchaser to get in early and get established.
Terminal and Port Capabilities
-60,000bbls a day transfer rate is possible with the current infrastructure. Rockport Terminals dock, pipeline, and pump system are rated at +2,500bbl per hour. There are two existing tanks with a base ready for a third. The product can arrive by barge and go out by truck, barge, or future rail.
-Concept designs are done for two liquids terminal areas on-site; one waterside and one next to the existing tanks. There is space for up to 1,000,000bbls with the limiting factor being the desired use of the operator.
-There are two existing active pipelines at the rear of the property that could potentially bring liquids to the site making it a true multi-modal facility.
-The site suits companies that want to establish a bulk liquids storage, processing, and distribution center in the Corpus Christi region. Close to the Port of Corpus Christi and the EagleFord Shale.
