From 17 to 28 August 2024, our spacecraft Barry-1 came within a range of roughly 200-415meters of debris originating with the 2007 Chinese ASAT test. (Image credit: Kayhan Space)The debris was created over fifteen years ago at significantly higher altitudes, and it still poses a threat to all LEO space actors today. For Rogue, this highlights the importance of all actors, both private and governmental, adopting norms of behavior and best practices for the long-term sustainability of space activities. We applaud both governments and private actors who take steps to adopt, promote and implement best practices. Special shout out to initiatives like SWF's Space Industry Statement in Support of International Commitments to Not Conduct ASAT Tests and the #zerodebrischarter for creating clear metrics for space actors to measure themselves. Great to be working with UNH!
🚀 Exciting Milestone at the UNH Space Technology Hub! I'm proud to announce that we’ve just completed our first job for Rogue Space Systems Corporation, delivering flight cable harness fabrication for their next satellite build. A big thanks to our great team, especially Monica Franceschini for her technician work and Tina Dutra for her project management. This marks a significant step in our collaboration with Rogue Space and I look forward to many more successful projects together! #SpaceTechHub #UNHResearch #SatelliteTechnology
