Today we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of our Executive Director, Beth Trunfio. In the 42 years of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York, the most transformative growth and evolution has been under the direction of Beth. Under Beth's visionary leadership, we've completed two successful capital campaigns, built a new, larger, fully accessible House, expanded it further, and launched a hospital-based program that serves thousands of family members each year. Thanks to her dedication, our staff has grown to support these expanding services, and our annual operating budget has increased to nearly $2 million. Beth is not only a champion for our guest families but also a tireless advocate for our community and staff. Her unwavering commitment has been instrumental in our continued growth and success. Here’s to 25 incredible years, and to many more as we continue to grow and flourish together!

Congratulations to the team at Upstate Medical University as they celebrated the grand opening of the new Children's Pavilion last week, a place for children with severe behaviors to go for care. We commend the team at Upstate and all of the supporters of this initiative on meeting this critical need in not only our CNY community, but all of New York State. Today marks a monumental milestone for Ronald McDonald House Charities. 50 years ago, this incredible group of individuals began their journey to advocate for family-centered care. Since then, the organization has grown global network of Chapters, supporters and donors that respond to the needs of families around the world. From all of us at Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY, we offer a heartfelt thank you to those who identified the need and advocated for a place to support families while their children received care at nearby hospitals: Dr. Audrey Evans, the Philadelphia Eagles and McDonald's owner/operators in Philadelphia. We are honored to be one of the Chapters that has the privilege of bringing their mission to life. Without the support and generosity of Ronald McDonald House Charities we would not be able to provide comfort, care, and support to our guest families. Every year we get together to honor the heart of our mission and to celebrate keeping families together at our Many Hearts One Home Celebration. This year, we raised over $160,000, which will go directly to supporting the programs that support our guest families.
