Yay for trauma… said no one ever. 🙄 When someone you care about is going through trauma, it can be hard to know what to say. But here’s a tip: 'Your trauma built your character and made you stronger' might not be the best thing to say. Instead, try responses that acknowledge their pain without minimizing their experience: 'I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m here for you.' 'Take all the time you need to heal. I’m with you every step of the way.' 'Your feelings are valid. Let me know how I can support you.' The best thing you can do is listen and let them feel what they’re feeling. Healing isn’t about glorifying the pain or pushing someone to be ‘stronger’—it’s about holding space for their journey with kindness and care 📌 Be sure to SAVE this for later. __ At Root to Rise Therapy, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our trained therapists are dedicated to helping you break free from the cycle of trauma. 📲 If you’re ready to take the first step toward healing, contact us today to schedule a session. . . . #trauma #traumatherapy #holistictherapy #therapy #losangelestherapy

Happy National Coming Out Day!🏳️🌈 Today, we honor the courage it takes to come out—whether it's to friends, family, or even to yourself. Coming out is a deeply personal journey, and there's no "right" way or time to do it. To those who’ve come out: Your bravery and authenticity make the world a brighter place. To those who aren’t ready: Your identity is valid, even if you’re not ready to share it yet. Take your time. There’s no pressure to fit anyone else's timeline. As therapists, we are here to remind you that you deserve to feel seen, loved, and supported exactly as you are. Coming out is one step in your journey, but it doesn’t define your worth or how loved you are. 🤍 If you need a safe space to talk or process your feelings, we are here to listen. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. 🤝 Sending love to everyone in the LGBTQ+ community today and always. 🏳️🌈 If you’re ready to start therapy, click the 🔗 on our profile to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation with our Client Care Coordinator who will help you determine which one of our therapists is the right fit for your needs and how we can best serve you. . . . #comingoutday #nationalcomingoutday #lgbtqsupport #lgbtqtherapy #therapylosangeles

When was the last time you truly paused? In a world that keeps pushing us to go faster, it's easy to forget that sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is simply slow down. Taking a deep breath, sitting quietly for a moment, or even just closing your eyes can be enough to calm the storm inside. Slowing down is like hitting the reset button on your nervous system, bringing everything back into balance. 🌬️ Breathe in deeply... then exhale slowly. 🧘♀️ Feel your body let go of tension. 🌿 Give yourself permission to just be. No hustle, no pressure—just you and the present moment. Sometimes, it’s these small pauses that remind us we’re human, and that’s more than enough. How do you like to slow down and recharge when life gets busy? . . . #slowdown #nervoussystemregulation #mindfulnesspractice #gentleliving #therapy

Feeling stressed or overwhelmed? EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a simple yet powerful tool to help release emotional blocks and restore balance to your body’s energy. It involves tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on a particular issue or emotion, helping you feel calmer and more grounded. Here’s how to get started: 1️⃣ Identify an issue you want to work on (anxiety, stress, a negative thought). 2️⃣ Rate the intensity of the issue on a scale of 1-10. 3️⃣ Tap on these points while focusing on the issue: ~ Side of your hand (karate chop) ~ Top of the head ~ Eyebrows ~ Side of the eye ~ Under the eye ~ Under the nose ~ Chin ~ Collarbone ~ Underarm 4️⃣ Speak a positive affirmation as you tap, like "Even though I feel anxious, I deeply and completely accept myself." Tap for a few rounds and notice how the intensity shifts. SAVE this to try later!🔖 . . . #EFTTapping #emotionalfreedomtechnique #tappingtherapy #energyhealing #holistictherapy #therapy #therapist
