Ross, Smith & Binford, PC Counsel Casey Roy spoke on a panel alongside Buffey Klein and Daniel Wolfe yesterday at the 37th Annual Texas Health Law Conference in Austin. The title of the panel discussion was “The Role of Health Care Attorneys in Coordinating with State and Federal Health Care Agencies During Bankruptcy.” Casey shared his unique perspectives taken from his many years of addressing complicated healthcare matters in #bankruptcy cases, both in government and private practice.

Honest a graduate of the SMU Dedman School of Law, where he contributed as a staff editor for the Science & Technology Law Review. During law school, he gained invaluable experience through an externship with the United States Bankruptcy Court, honing his knowledge of bankruptcy law. Before attending law school, Honest earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, graduating cum laude from the The University of Texas at Arlington. While there, he distinguished himself as a member of the prestigious Bill Archer Fellowship Program and the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity.

In 2024 she was awarded First Place Overall and Outstanding Brief at the national Duberstein #Bankruptcy Moot Competition in New York City. During law school, Abby served on the International Law Journal as a staff editor. She also worked as a student representative for the Texas Law Immigration Clinic and the Mithoff Pro Bono’s Parole Project and Bankruptcy Clinic. Prior to law school, Abby spent several years advocating for refugees and asylum seekers at the International Rescue Committee.
