Our Women of RPM Employee Resource Group shares networking and learning opportunities with interested associates across the company. The group has more than 575 members and hosts multiple events each year. In 2023, Women of RPM’s launch event, a virtual panel titled “Women in Leadership,” attracted over 300 attendees. Additional events included virtual sessions focused on self-care in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month and a professional development presentation in partnership with Women@Rust-Oleum. We are excited to share that Women@Rust-Oleum, a group dedicated to connecting associates and driving community engagement, raised over $35,000 in support of Lili’s Lift. Inspired by Lili Gilmore, daughter of our long-time sales associate John Gilmore, Lili’s Lift empowers children with disabilities, along with their families and communities, through education, advocacy and volunteer opportunities. The organization provides the funding and resources needed to complete projects that significantly improve accessibility for these families. Thanks to a generous match from Rust-Oleum Cares, this incredible total will help fund initiatives that improve the lives of children with disabilities. The StonCor Africa facility in South Africa, part of RPM’s Platform Markets, completed the installation of multiple solar panels, providing a sustainable solution that helps the business reduce its monthly electricity costs. In addition, sourcing a portion of electrical energy through this new sustainable source helps reduce the facility’s overall energy consumption from the challenged local utility grid, ultimately improving supply availability for the surrounding community. RPM has released its 2024 Summary Annual Report. The theme for this year’s Annual Report, “Standing Strong,” emphasizes RPM’s foundational values of Transparency, Trust and Respect. Upholding these values alongside our dedicated associates and industry-leading products has not only fueled RPM’s success but has also showcased resilience through even the most challenging times. Throughout 2022 and 2023, nearly 100 RPM associates participated in Energy Star® Treasure Hunts as part of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sponsored program in which participants identify quick energy-saving opportunities. Our teams identified 34 energy-saving projects across 22 RPM locations ranging from lighting upgrades to solar panel installations. These projects resulted in more than 2,200,000 kWh of reduced electrical energy consumption and 100,000,000 BTU of reduced natural gas consumption. Teams also identified four solar installation projects, which will provide 1,200,000 kWh of renewable energy sourcing when active.
