We are looking forward to Phase 2 for the Salt Lake City Navigation Center after a successful completion of Phase 1. Phase 2 is planned to introduce a large Sprung Structure navigation building that will contain day space, dining and staff quarters for operations, offices for service providers, and permanent laundry, showers, bathrooms, and locker rooms. Additionally, Phase 2 will also bring another 25 units completing the site's occupancy goal of providing 100 non congregate microshelters. The new law, California’s SB4, makes it possible for religious institutions to develop affordable housing on their property, including parking lots. This could be a game-changer for cities like L.A., where land is scarce and rents are sky-high. While some see it as a great way to address the housing crisis, others worry about the potential impact on single-family neighborhoods. Have you experienced delays with prefab, modular, or pre-engineered projects that required changes during mid-construction? You're not alone! Many architects, designers and project managers unfamiliar with these construction methods can find themselves creating or working with plans that don't fully consider manufacturing limitations and site specific requirements. Creating a lengthy back and forth of reviews and redlines. Unlike traditional construction, there isn’t a simple change order on a manufactured product. Avoid delays and use a Manufacturing-Led-Design-Process®. This innovative process flips the script. The manufacturer works with the design team from the beginning, ensuring features like egress and placement of mechanical and structural systems are designed optimally for the requirements of the site and the manufactured project. Does the Manufacturing-Led-Design-Process® process sound familiar? Maybe because you’ve heard us share the methodology before, after all, we created it! Here's more information about our process: https://lnkd.in/eUZFygR4

RPM utilizes Sprung Structures because they're the only building available from inventory that can accommodate our fast construction deliverables. Last week, RPM's David Renard attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sprung's expanded manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. Sprung's innovative tensioned-membrane buildings are a valuable solution for RPM's need for quick turnaround on building projects. #Construction #Preengineered

We recently completed load calculations for a parking garage designed to accommodate a significant number of electric vehicles (EVs). ⚡️ EVs tend to weigh more than traditional gasoline-powered vehicles, so it's crucial to ensure the building structure can handle the additional weight. ️ Our calculations considered various factors, including the number and type of EVs the garage will hold, to guarantee a safe and sustainable parking solution. ✅ As the future of transportation leans towards electric, we're proud to be a part of projects that are building a greener tomorrow. https://lnkd.in/g8u_HN5S

In 2020, RPM introduced Sprung Structures to the City of Vallejo as the best solution for their upcoming navigation center project. Over the span of four years, with several site changes, personnel changes and design team updates, the solution that Sprung provides remained constant. With 125 beds and wrap around support services for guests, this project will give an opportunity to those that need a helping hand and help positively transform the City of Vallejo. Earlier this week, RPM participated in a think tank session with U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, who is also slated to become the future chair of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH). This critical conversation focused on collaborative efforts to address homelessness in the Phoenix region, specifically exploring successful approaches that can be implemented on a national scale through the USDA and USICH. Meeting with attendees from the National Alliance to End Homelessness's Innovation Summit '24 in San Francisco was a great opportunity to connect with so many passionate individuals – service providers, manufacturers, system leaders, advocates, and even formerly homeless individuals – all working tirelessly to tackle this complex issue. Sharing successful (and not-so-successful) approaches is key to finding truly impactful solutions. Together, we can make a real difference! #EndHomelessness #NAEH2024 #InnovationSummit #CommunityImpact
