Meet Mackenzie! 💜 This sweet girl is all about love and loyalty—once she finds her person, she'll be your constant companion, always by your side (or better yet, on top of you for extra snuggles!). Mackenzie is a cuddle queen and nap enthusiast who adores soaking up love and giving kisses. She’s warming up to car rides, and when it’s playtime, her zoomies are next-level! She’s even trying her paw at being a ball dog, though her feet sometimes get in the way. 😅 This playful girl is super smart and quickly picking up basic commands. Her favorite adventures? Woodland walks where she loves surprising deer and pheasants! And when it’s time to wind down, she’ll curl up next to you for the coziest snooze. Since 2010, Ruff Start Rescue has been rescuing stray, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered animals in need. We have some groundbreaking news! We’re thrilled to share that Ruff Start Rescue is expanding! Thanks to your unwavering support, we’re adding 1,200 square feet to our Princeton office, allowing us to serve more animals and people in our community. This expanded space will help us: - Increase storage for donations and supplies, ensuring we can meet the needs of animals and pet owners in tough times. - Expand our reach by offering veterinary services to rescue partners, focusing on affordable spay/neuter procedures to reduce overpopulation. - Install an overhead garage door to safely transport animals in and out of our facility, especially during winter. - Provide space for educational events and community outreach to raise awareness about animal welfare. October was a record-breaking month for Ruff Start Rescue! 🎉 We welcomed 357 animals, including 226 cats—our highest number ever in a single month! It was also our busiest October on record, and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of our fosters, volunteers, donors, and adopters.
