It took me years to come to terms with my own ADHD and major depressive disorder diagnoses. My own internalized stigma had taught me to ignore, deflect and carry on, denying myself the support and help I so badly needed. Once I began my own mental health journey, a world of possibilities opened up and I began to see the outlines of what my best self could look like.
