Running 4 Heroes Inc. was founded in 2019 by 10-year-old Zechariah Cartledge. As part of his efforts, he would run one mile for every First Responder killed in the Line of Duty and would send the flags he carried to the families of our fallen. Since 2019, his mission has expanded across the nation, and now other youth runners are following in Zechariah's footsteps to ensure every fallen hero is honored with a 1-mile run. Along with honoring our fallen, our mission awards grants to First Responders injured in the Line of Duty, as well as equipment to K9's in need. We also help financially support families of our Fallen Heroes when children are left behind. As of 10/26/22, we have given back over $600,000 for our First Responders while logging, sadly, over 1,400 miles for fallen heroes.
