Some thoughts from our Chief Operating Officer as we said farewell to our last J1 student this week. Thank you to InterExchange for being such a fantastic partner in the J1 work and travel program with our company each summer!
Summer in Niagara Falls has come to a close. And with every summer, it becomes more difficult to say goodbye to the J1 students that we have come to know and love as part of our Rupal Hospitality summer work & travel program. This week we said goodbye to our last student from InterExchange and we begin heading into Fall 🍁 and football 🏈 and snow❄️ and Christmas 🎄. But I told the kids this year that they were my favorite kids so far, and they told me I probably tell all the students the same thing. So I’m posting it here on all my social media platforms so they know it’s true 🩷. I wanted to give a shout out to Jessica Daigler from Darling Dough for making these custom cookies to welcome our J1 students and for making them yummy at the same time. If you’re looking for custom cookies for any occasion, please DM me and ask me for her contact info so you can support her small business. And follow her on IG at darlingdough_716. Thank you to our students for picking us this summer. We love you all and we miss you already. The 615 Odyssey House will never be the same and we will never forget you. (And some of the students will never forget us either since you got that 615 tattoo to stay with you forever 🥰)
