The project’s goal is to develop a compact once-through steam generator (OTSG), which could boost power output by 30-33% while cutting emissions by up to 150,000 tons annually per installation. 🌞 Exciting news from SunHydrogen, Inc.! The company has begun testing large-scale modules for renewable hydrogen production using sunlight and water, a crucial step for advancing the hydrogen economy and reducing carbon emissions. 🌍💧 In July, SunHydrogen partnered with CTF Solar GmbH to integrate their solar cell modules into SunHydrogen's systems. Together, they're designing scalable thin-film solar cell modules for hydrogen panel demonstrations. At the Honda R&D Americas, LLC facility, SunHydrogen's 100cm² hydrogen modules, developed with CTF Solar, have achieved an impressive 10.8% solar-to-hydrogen efficiency. Dr. Syed Mubeen Jawahar Hussaini, Chief Scientific Officer at SunHydrogen, stated, “To our knowledge, this efficiency level has not been reached by any other company using cost-effective semiconductor materials immersed in water.” Tim Young, CEO of SunHydrogen, emphasized, “Our recent accomplishments demonstrate our team’s commitment to securing our place in the market.” SunHydrogen is also collaborating with experts to develop membrane-less housing units, which will help safely separate hydrogen and oxygen, reduce costs, and eliminate harmful compounds.
