We’re proud to share our latest research published in NEJM Group! Andrew M. Evens, DO, MBA, MSc of Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas Health co-authored practice-changing #ClinicalResearch that compared N-AVD to BV-AVD in adolescent and adult classic Hodgkin lymphoma patients. Researchers concluded N-AVD significantly improved progression-free survival and was better tolerated when compared to BV-AVD, the current standard of care. Dr. Evens was recognized as the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group’s national champion for this study, and Rutgers Cancer Institute was one of the lead enrolling sites nationally for the trial. Together, with our patients, physicians, team members and community partners, we’re celebrating a significant milestone in the development of the Vogel Medical Campus at Tinton Falls, raising the final beam on the Specialty and Cancer Care Pavilion. The five-story, 150,000-square-foot facility is central to our strategy to transform care throughout Monmouth County and the region, and to create an integrated network built to address the needs of patients today and in the future. Check out these pics as we celebrate with Monmouth Medical Center and Rutgers Cancer Institute the recent events at the future Vogel Medical Campus in Tinton Falls! The final beam was placed on the steel structure for the Specialty and Cancer Care Pavilion there, and a ceremonial beam-raising event was held last week. #letsbeatcancertogether #LetsBeHealthyTogether
We recently held two very special events at our Long Branch campus and future Vogel Medical Campus in Tinton Falls as we invited our staff members, physicians, hospital and RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute leadership, as well as our community partners, to sign a 20-foot steel beam, which was the final beam placed on the steel structure for the Specialty and Cancer Care Pavilion at our Vogel Medical Campus at Tinton Falls during a ceremonial beam-raising event held on October 8th. Beam signing is a timeless tradition for individuals to leave their mark, not only on the physical structure, but also on the collective history of the building. Participants were so excited to have their signatures forever become a part of the five-story, 150,000-square-foot pavilion that will offer an outstanding patient experience with seamless access to basic and complex imaging services, as well as surgical procedures not requiring post-procedure hospital stays. Additionally, the new facility will offer comprehensive cancer care together with Rutgers Cancer Institute. The Specialty and Cancer Care Pavilion is located at the corner of Corregidor Road and Pearl Harbor Avenue in Tinton Falls and is set to open in 2026. We congratulate our RWJBarnabas Health facilities that are named among the nation’s Best Children’s Hospitals for 2024–2025 by U.S. News and World Report! The Bristol-Meyers Squibb Children’s Hospital also ranked #47 (tie) nationally in #orthopedics and was one of the top ranked children’s hospitals in New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic Region.
