When the Elyria Fire Department acquired new extrication equipment from MES Fire, they knew exactly which local scrap metal recycling center to rely on for hands-on training with their new lifesaving tools. Over three days, all shifts from the Elyria Fire Department had the opportunity to shear, saw, rip, and move seven cars and two school buses provided by SA Recycling Elyria for their training. Scott from MES Fire showcased the enhanced lifesaving capabilities of the battery-powered tools, which are more mobile than the older tethered models they replaced. It was an educational experience for everyone involved. GREAT JOB TEAM!!

Proyecto Juan Diego is an outstanding organization dedicated to supporting the Brownsville, Texas community, particularly those less fortunate, through its facility and various programs. Many of our employees at SA Recycling in Brownsville, have benefited from PJD’s services, including immigration assistance, English and citizenship classes, and more. Recognizing the significant impact PJD has had on our team members is a key reason our Brownsville facility wholeheartedly supports them. Alberto G. Garcia has been a board member for about three years and was recently elected chairman earlier this year. He is pictured with Sister Phylis, the founder, and another photo features some of our staff, including Mark Hodgson, at a PJD event honoring a local pediatrician and philanthropist. On Saturday, October 5, our SA Recycling Marietta facility in Georgia, took part in Cobb County Safety Village’s 12th annual Truck-A-Palooza. This event provided the community, especially children, with an opportunity to learn about SA Recycling and explore the inside of our trucks. The team brought four bales of material to the site and held a contest where participants guessed the weights. The closest guesses won gift cards to Bowlero, Main Event, or Chuck E. Cheese, with the overall closest guess winning a Nintendo Switch Lite. Children received plastic “hard hats” filled with candy, a magnet, and sunglasses. The community also had the chance to see and handle copper chops, aluminum turnings, an aluminum puck, and household wire. FANTASTIC JOB TEAM!!

Last Saturday, our SA Recycling Slippery Rock facility proudly sponsored the local annual village fest. We set up tents and distributed various items, including shirts, cups, bags, and magnets. Additionally, we held a raffle and gave away two SA Recycling coolers. AWESOME JOB TEAM!!

The SoCal Region was invited to participate in this year’s annual WSATI conference. We had the privilege of sponsoring the event at the Platinum level in Palm Springs, CA. Over the course of the three-day conference, our teams from Thousand Palms and El Centro engaged with numerous law enforcement agencies and their affiliates from across Southern California. GREAT JOB TEAM!!
