It’s Election Day! Whether you walk, roll, or take transit, we encourage everyone to visit their local polling place and make their voices heard. We also advocate for Safe Routes to Vote! What does Safe Routes to Vote mean? It’s more than just the destination—it’s about accessible pathways to voting for everyone. From the historic suffragette marches to the march from Selma to Montgomery, walking and voting are intertwined symbols of change. Ensuring convenient, safe routes to polling places is vital, whether by foot, bike, or transit. Marisa Jones and Sara Zimmerman wrote about Safe Routes to Vote in 2018, and it still holds truth today. Participants built Lego safe streets, created animal patterns with a bicycle tire, and played custom activities and games by Solving Fun!
