Summit your goals!!! A summit, or an ascent to a really hard goal is almost always going to require you to push yourself harder than you’d like to.
Perseverance, resilience, and even a few tears are typically part of that package (to say the least.)
Standing on top of Mt. Baker a week ago, after a grueling sunset ascent, hooked up on a rope team to my very own oncologist Dr. Joanie Mayer Hope, and my amazing fellow survivor and Everest/Denali conquerer Jessica Wedel was so empowering and emotional I burst into tears.
This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I hated it at times. It took days to recover. But the point is, I did it, even when I wanted to quit, I didn’t.
This reminded me also of my battle with cancer, with single parenthood, with growing my business, with fighting for what’s right in various aspects of my life. If you ever get a chance to summit a mountain, just say yes. 🩵
So thankful to my corporate sponsors who helped me get there. Together we are funding a future without Ovarian Cancer. We are funding a research team developing a diagnostic tool for early detection for ALL women.
