Great opportunity available with Oakland Unified School District - Executive Director, Safety

According to the Department of Education: Black students are 3.8 times more likely to be suspended from school than white students. Black girls are suspended at higher rates than girls of any other race or ethnicity and are almost twice as likely to be suspended as white girls. Students with disabilities are more than twice as likely to be suspended as students without disabilities. These disparities persist even when controlling for factors such as poverty and school type. Safer School Solutions is launching a technology pilot with a number of districts to help close the equity gap related to student discipline and student services delivery.
