The NHRA Gatornationals, an annual National Hot Rod Association drag race event, was held at Gainesville Raceway this past weekend. Safety-Kleen helped power top finisher Antron Brown, as well as second-place finisher Shawn Langdon. In addition, Safety-Kleen Motorsports collected over 2,000 gallons of used motor oil during the event to be sent to our nearby Ocala Oil Terminal. Our BPS Service Delivery Manager Alex Hilley works with Program Manager Drew Patey to coordinate world class service for this event every year.

Safety-Kleen Motorsports was front and center at Daytona 500 weekend! On Saturday, Thad Moffitt drove the 46 Toyota in the season-opening race for the ARCA Menards Series, marking the first time the Safety-Kleen brand has been the primary scheme for a car at Daytona. On Sunday, Jimmy Johnson and the LEGACY MOTOR CLUB (co-owned by Richard Petty and others) finished third overall. Safety-Kleen is a sponsor of Legacy Motor Club as their official environmental company. Safety-Kleen-serviced JR Motorsports had a strong showing in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Cup Series, with their first ever Cup Series entry finishing in the top 10. It was an honor to once again support so many teams and drivers across the entire racing world. We’re excited for all that’s in store for Safety-Kleen Motorsports in 2025.

Collaboration fuels innovation, as demonstrated by the recent advancements in line cleaning at oil change facilities. Looking for a safer and more efficient alternative, Safety-Kleen teamed up with the HPC Innovation Center to enhance their lance guide solutions to assist drivers. Additionally, the vacuum truck manufacturing team developed a retrofittable storage solution for existing trucks. This year, we produced the first 100 lance guides, with plans for more units in 2025. This project highlights how teamwork can significantly improve safety and efficiency for employees, showcasing the power of collaboration in driving industry progress!
