Saint Vincent Hospital recently celebrated a major milestone in providing minimally invasive robotic surgery care to the greater Worcester region in Massachusetts. Nuclear Medicine Week, celebrated annually from October 6-12, is a time to recognize the remarkable work of our nuclear medicine technologists and professionals who play a pivotal role in diagnostic imaging and treatment. At Saint Vincent’s, we are proud to support nuclear medicine technologists as they make a difference in patients’ lives through their expertise and dedication.

If you or someone you care about has lost a child to stillbirth, miscarriage, SIDS, or any other cause at any point during pregnancy or infancy, please join us in raising awareness this October for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

The Saint Vincent Hospital Internal Medicine residency program had a spectacular performance at the recent MA Chapter of the American College of Physicians scientific meeting, a statewide meeting of all the teaching programs in internal medicine from across the state. The Saint Vincent Hospital banner was flying high! SVH had the most posters of any program in the state with 32 chosen for presentation. Our residents did a very good job of defending their posters. During the Scientific meeting, Dr. Kannu Bansal (who just graduated from our SVH IM residency program), a current Cardiology fellow at SVH, was on the panel discussing Atrial Fibrillation management. Dr. Nitin Trivedi presented the newer treatment options in Diabetes mellitus. SVH Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency program Dr. Susan George, was awarded the MA chapter Laureate award and Dr. Harinivas Shanmugavel Geetha was awarded the Resident-Fellow Leadership award. This was followed in the afternoon by a stunning win by the Doctor’s Dilemma team from SVH represented by Drs. Abhishek Singh, Rhea Bohra and Ann Lim. Congratulations to the program participants and its dedicated faculty on their outstanding efforts.

Women experience many unique health issues and some health issues that affect both men and women pose unique challenges for women. For these reasons, we will be hosting a Women’s Wellness event on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 10:30am-1:30pm in the hospital's Atrium.
