Today we celebrate World Environment Day and this year we're focusing on land restoration to halt soil degradation and improve resilience to drought. We're proud to inform you that at SALTO WECOSYSTEM we're collaborating to accelerate the restoration of land through the following projects: 1. Restoration of an olive grove in Oliete (Spain). Through this project, 16,000 olive trees have been restored, improving soil functionality and biodiversity. 2. Restoration of a burned area in the Aiako Harria Natural Park. Less than 15km from our Oiartzun plant, this project involves the recovery of the natural habitat by replanting native species and eliminating invasive species. This initiative improves the ecosystem's resilience to new impacts, increases CO2 sequestration, prevents soil erosion, and enhances the area's biodiversity. 3. Renaturalization of mountain grasslands in Switzerland. The restoration of these ecosystems improves flood protection, water pollution control, the microclimate, and the landscape. Additionally, it promotes the storage of CO2 in the soil. 4. Construction of climate forests in Norway. This project involves the planting of forests in Norway, in cooperation with landowners which will improve the area's biodiversity. 5. Planting trees all around Europe. Through this project 1000 new trees have been planted in Europe. SALTO Systems's Climate Change Policy is the guide for our environmental actions.
