It’s easy to point out the mistakes of others, especially in the workplace. We look for the faults in our colleagues’ work while often overlooking the blunders in our own actions. But Jesus reminds us in Matthew 7:3 that focusing on the faults of others can distract us from our own growth and responsibility. "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?" Matthew 7:3 (ESV). We all make mistakes—it’s part of being human. What matters is how we respond to them. 🙏 Rather than getting distracted by blaming others, we should keep our heads down and persevere with humility and grace. By doing this, we honor the calling to work heartily as for the Lord (Colossians 3:23) and not for men. When we root our approach in biblical principles, it becomes easier to offer forgiveness and to focus on how we can improve ourselves. Instead of getting sidetracked by blame, we press on knowing that God’s grace is sufficient to carry us through. This week, if you find yourself frustrated by someone else’s mistake, pause and reflect on your own actions. Instead of focusing on blame, ask God to help you see how you can improve and how you can extend grace to others.
