Samaritan's Feet is poised to make a significant impact across East Africa. This past June, a container with 20,000 pairs of shoes arrived in Burundi to help those impacted by devastating flooding, while another two containers with 36,000 shoes arrived in Tanzania. The third annual Kids Dental Day and Shoe Distribution is underway currently at First Horizon Park! In partnership with the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club, Delta Dental of Tennessee, and cityCURRENT, powered by Higginbotham, this event is a testament to the power of corporate activation and volunteerism, driven by Delta Dental of Tennessee and cityCURRENT’s dedication to improving community wellness. Kids Dental Day is serving over 400 children with the help of nearly 150 volunteers from the business and dental community, providing kids with free dental screenings and cleanings, new socks and shoes, books from Book'em, and a day filled with games and activities courtesy of NPT - Nashville Public Television. Children are receiving free screenings from dentists and dental students from Meharry Medical College and Neighborhood Health. After their dental exams, children are paired with local business executives who provided new socks and shoes, courtesy of cityCURRENT and Samaritan's Feet International.

In partnership with the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club, Samaritan's Feet International’s, Interfaith Dental, Meharry and other local organizations, Delta Dental of Tennessee and cityCURRENT hosted Kids Day to give kids access to free dental screenings and cleanings as well as a new pair of socks and shoes to start the new school year! P.S. Did I just meet the Tooth Fairy's sibling, the Tooth Cowboy?!
