Last week, the San Diego Community Power team had the pleasure of celebrating the completion of a new solar and storage project at the Sherman Heights Community Center. The project was led by the Hammond Climate Solutions Foundation, one of the recipients of our Community Clean Energy Grant in 2023, and is a testament to what we can accomplish when we all work together toward a #CleanEnergyFuture.

Last week, the San Diego Community Power team joined Business For Good San Diego for their annual (Doing) Business For Good Summit, where we were able to connect with business leaders and changemakers from across the San Diego region. Also at the Summit, Community Power's Director of Programs Colin Santulli and Community Advisory Committee Chair Matthew Vasilakis participated in a panel about access to #cleanenergy, energy efficiency and how we can all contribute to a clean energy future for the San Diego region.

Our team had a great time at the Adams Avenue Street Fair! The weekend was jam packed with music. excitement and opportunities to share how San Diego Community Power is bringing cleaner energy to our local communities. We also sponsored the “Cool Zone,” which brought community members together to keep cool under a shady awning and misters, ensuring festivalgoers had a place to reboot and recharge.

San Diego Community Power strives to drive #innovation in the #cleanenergy space — and today we were able to surround ourselves with innovation from across industries at Connect's annual Innovation Day! We connected with leaders in #sustainability, technology and more and shared how Community Power is working to pave the way to a #sustainable future for the San Diego region. Community Power CEO Karin L Burns and Jason Anderson of Cleantech San Diego also participated in a fireside chat, moderated by Community Power's own Lee Friedman. They spoke about innovation within #cleantech, and Burns was able to preview how our upcoming programs will create new opportunities for San Diegans to participate in a clean energy future.
