MTS is proposing a Copper Line, a new East County Connector to service stations between El Cajon Transit Center and Santee Trolley Station. The proposed Copper Line would serve each station every 15 minutes most of the day and run approximately 5:00 a.m to midnight. If approved, Copper Line Service would replace the existing Green and Orange Line Trolley service East of El Cajon Transit Center. The Copper Line is being proposed to enhance reliability on the Green Line. To learn more visit: https://lnkd.in/gED6X2HK

https://lnkd.in/gtB-sFKu On Monday, January 22,2024 we here in the San Diego region experienced what has been called a 1000-year storm system. That overwhelmed San Diego Storm water drainage system. Leaving a path of destruction in the Southeast San Diego, Encanto, Shell town, Barrio Logan, and Downtown San Diego areas MTS was not insulated from the destruction and suffered a tremendous amount of damage to our rail infrastructure. Since the storm MTS has had internal forces as well as contractors working around the clock with one goal that is to restore service for our customers and to provide transportation for those that need to get to work, school, doctor’s appointments, or social events. Staying true to our commitment to (Safety, Customer Service and System Performance) the Orange Line has been returned to service.
