I was forced to discuss how success happens when I examined a client's plans for the year. My client had an elegant plan that accounted for macro and micro economic factors, included a comparison of their technology, and proudly reviewed their high level of service. Most importantly, it covered their upgraded marketing. However, it did not include consistent execution of a sales process or prospecting behavior from their sales team. For most of my clients, achieving a great sales result is impossible without predictable, repeated execution of prospecting and sales behaviors from a group of people responsible for client relationships.
