Guaranteeing that every meal, consumed by every mother and child, contains lifesaving nutrients, forever.

About us

Every day 8,000 children die and 2 billion people suffer from preventable illnesses because their diets lack basic vitamins and minerals. Sanku has the solution. Our vision: a world where everyone, everywhere, has guaranteed, affordable access to the nutrients they need to survive and thrive. Billions of people rely on small flour mills for their daily food. Empowering these mills to add lifesaving micronutrients to their flour could end malnutrition forever. Our award-winning technology makes adding nutrients into flour simple. Our innovative business model incentivises millers by neutralising the cost of the added nutrients. Because of Sanku, millers can produce quality nutritious flour, and families can access affordable healthy food every day. Today is International Day of Rural Women. We appreciate the place of rural women in Africa in safeguarding food security and nutrition. With over 80% of African women residing in rural areas and more than 60% employed in agriculture, these women are at the heart of food production, processing, and preparation. Their work ensures households and communities access to diverse, nutritious diets, while contributing to local economies. However, climate change poses a serious threat to their livelihoods and food security. As primary food producers, rural women are disproportionately impacted by erratic weather patterns, droughts, and soil degradation. Ensuring climate resilience is critical to protect their livelihoods and secure the future of food and nutrition security across Africa. On this day, let’s commit to Empowering Change and Advancing Equality by supporting rural women with the resources and tools they need to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices. #SupportSanku #EndMalnutrition #EndHiddenHunger #SDG2

This International Day of the Girl Child, we celebrate ‘Girls’ vision for the future’ and the importance of nutrition in helping girls achieve their goals. Adequate nutrition is crucial for girls for several reasons. It plays a key role in their physical and mental development, helping them grow strong and stay healthy. Well-nourished girls are also more likely to attend school regularly and perform well academically, which supports their ability to learn and succeed. Proper nutrition provides a foundation for girls to pursue their goals and create opportunities for themselves. In the long term, healthy and educated girls contribute to their communities, playing a part in addressing poverty and inequality. By ensuring girls have access to nutritious food, we build a future where they can reach their full potential. Learn more 👉 www.sanku.com #SupportSanku #EndMalnutrition #EndHiddenHunger #SDG2

Boosting education through nutrition is a powerful way to support future generations. School feeding programs are critical for tackling hidden hunger and improving learning outcomes. These initiatives provide children with the nutrients they need for physical and cognitive development and also help increase school attendance, concentration, and academic performance. In Kenya, where 18% of children under five are stunted, and 5.6 million face food insecurity, investing in these programs is essential. Foods fortified with vitamins and minerals can further enhance the impact, ensuring healthier, more engaged learners. We are advocating for school feeding programs and food fortification to give every child an opportunity to thrive! Learn more 👉 www.sanku.com #SupportSanku #EndMalnutrition #EndHiddenHunger #SDG2
