This week we’re proud to honor our nurses, respiratory therapists, and everyone who assists with the essential work of caring for those struggling with breathing difficulties due to chronic conditions as well as those who have suffered a traumatic health event such as a heart attack.  These individuals are dedicated to helping patients and residents find relief, and we’re grateful for all they do!   

This month we’re recognizing our physical therapy professionals!  Physical therapy helps people overcome their health conditions and return to their prior level of function, with benefits such as symptom control, pain management, prevention of injuries, improved strength and flexibility, recovery from illness, and improved quality of life.  Physical therapists bring so much value to our teams and patients, and we’re honored to show our appreciation for the countless benefits they provide!  

Congratulations to Analyn from Wallowa Valley Senior Living for winning the Q3 Quarterly Vacation Drawing! By achieving perfect attendance last quarter, Analyn was randomly selected and will enjoy a fun Disney trip with her husband! We appreciate your dedication, Analyn! 

Debra Weber, our Ridgeview Activities Director, won the OHCA Above and Beyond Award this year!   Debra does such as amazing job for her resident at Ridgeview! She of course leads an amazing activity program, but she also goes beyond the calendar. With their limited income, getting personal items may be a challenge, so she found out how to obtain vouchers for them at Goodwill, and with these they can get themselves items such as clothing, shoes, and room decorations.  She has also been able to get some of them fishing licenses for free so they can enjoy their passion for the outdoors and fishing! She has done these things and so much more for her residents. She gives them purpose, and in doing so, they have begun to give back to others in the greater community.  Last winter, the residents did a warm clothing drive and helped with collection and delivery of those items directly to those experiencing homelessness. We are so proud of Amanda Gray for receiving the 2023 OHCA Leadership Award!    Amanda is one of the best leaders in our profession! She is a mentor, a teacher and an inspiration! She is available any time day or night and is always willing to step into any position to help. Through her teachings and training (often shoulder to shoulder) of our Administrators, DHS’s, RCC’s, activities and other departments, each community is thriving. Her presence in the communities provides an endless source of encouragement and inspiration! She is incredibly knowledgeable, understanding, and thoughtful. Amanda is a truly genuine, and kind person, who is known to bring in personalized gifts or treats for her team members “just because”, to make sure they know they are known and appreciated! Teaching people and inspiring them to grow, become stronger leaders, and take on new challenges drives her!
