Updates

  • A HUGE thank you to our friends at B & L Wholesale Supply Inc. Supply for a record-breaking charity golf tournament! Thanks to the support of sponsors, golfers, volunteers and—of course—the amazing B&L Wholesale Supply team, we achieved a grand total of $67,000 that will be used to accelerate our progress on St. Ann’s Campus Enhancement: Phase 2. This $700,000 project focuses on critical improvements such as new windows, doors, flooring, gym improvements, exterior masonry restoration and more. Every dollar raised at the B&L Wholesale Supply 27th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be used to restore and rejuvenate the St. Ann’s Campus (during its centennial year!) for the 100+ students and 350+ families we serve annually on Erie’s east side. To learn more about Phase 2 or to contact us for a campus tour, please visit https://lnkd.in/eJQch7hx. Congratulations to everyone at B&L Wholesale Supply on an incredibly successful event, and thank you for your 27-year commitment to making a difference for children and families at Sarah Reed!

  • Today we’re celebrating our wonderful friends at Erie Insurance Group and McGill, Power, Bell & Associates, LLP! Thanks to their generosity (and great golfing skills!) Sarah Reed Children’s Center is the recipient of an $11,000 contribution through the Erie Insurance Charity Challenge, which is benefiting our St. Ann’s Campus Enhancement: Phase 2 initiative and helping to secure additional project funding. This $700,000 Phase 2 endeavor will enable us to continue renovating and restoring the St. Ann’s School for the 100+ students and 350+ families we serve on Erie’s east side annually. This building has been educating Erie children and helping create student and family success stories for 100 years! Special thanks to everyone at Erie Insurance and McGill, Power, Bell & Associates, LLP for their dedicated friendship and generosity – together we are positively impacting children and families in the Pulaski-Lighthouse neighborhood on Erie’s east side! • We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our 2024 Erie Gives Day donors! Even though we are still awaiting our official results, you have already shattered all of our previous Erie Gives Day records, and we couldn’t be more excited by your outpouring of support for our children and families. We will be reaching out to thank each of our donors personally, and please stay tuned to see how your contributions are transforming the historic 100-year-old St. Ann’s School, as we continue to raise the funds needed to complete our $700,000 St. Ann’s Campus Enhancement: Phase 2 initiative. Our St. Ann’s Campus serves over 100 Erie students and 350+ families each year, and your special support on Erie Gives Day helps us continue our life-changing work for the children and families on Erie’s east side! #ErieGives2024 www.SarahReed.org

Thanks to the Bob and Betsy Guelcher Fund established for the Residential & St Ann’s Campuses, we were able to significantly enhance the library and update and add to our book collection at our Residential campus. Recently these new books were suggested by our children! We are grateful for the ongoing support of Bob & Betsy Guelcher throughout the years. This is the most recent of many enhancements made possible through their heartfelt generosity. Betsy loved to read to the children here at Sarah A. Reed Children's Center, her spirit of reading and learning lives on through the establishment of this fund. The kids are excited to get these new titles for some Summer 2024 reading! Scott McKay works with the children and Gary L. Bukowski MA,CFRE VP for Advancement continues to seek funding to impact more children. #literacy #reading #learning #hope #legacy #growth

  • Erie Gives Day is coming up on Tuesday, August 13th! This year, all donations made on Erie Gives Day will be put towards our St. Ann's Campus Enhancement: Phase 2 project - a $700,000 initiative to continue improving our eastside campus, located in the former St. Ann's School. This 100-year-old building has helped over 200 students over the past two years and hundreds of local Erie families. Watch our new ad below to learn more! We just completed $600,000 in major improvements to St. Ann's during our Phase 1 initiative thanks to our amazing donors, including a new HVAC system, new roofs, IT upgrades, new classroom and office furniture, library expansion, exterior masonry restoration and more.
