Project Spotlight: City of Bryan Justice Center The City of Bryan Justice Center is a 63,000 square-foot, two-story multipurpose facility that houses courtrooms, holding cells and the City’s police headquarters. The multi-use nature of the facility required multiple transitions in construction. These transitions included the construction of two high-end courtrooms and waiting rooms. The high-security court lobby includes six clerk counters behind bullet resistant glass. The Justice Center includes high security detention cells with complete electronic access systems. The cells are adjacent to a covered prisoner drop off area. When prisoners are transported to a courtroom, a front and rear opening elevator takes them directly to the court waiting area on the second floor. The police headquarters includes a two-story lobby, offices, a records storage area, training rooms and locker rooms. Rooms adjacent to the police lobby are secured with electronic access hardware and bullet resistant glass. Other police department support facilities include maintenance garages and interior dog kennels. Due to the project’s complexity, S&P began shop drawing reviews six months prior to installation to ensure accuracy, quality and maintain a tight schedule. The Bryan Justice Center stands as a municipal landmark and as a testament to our team’s skill, adaptability and commitment to excellence. #ProjectSpotlight #SatPon

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P) was proud to stand alongside Northwest ISD and the NEFFIE founding partners to cut the ribbon on NEFFIE, the new mobile resource store and library. Stocked with top items used by district educators, the mobile store will visit schools on a regular basis to ensure teachers have the resources they need. "NEFFIE is more than just a resource store—it's a way to directly impact our local schools and empower educators," said Ryan Clark, S&P Client Executive. "By bringing essential supplies directly to the schools, we’re helping to build a stronger, more supported community." The NEF Free Resource Store has been available to all district educators since the pandemic, but to ensure long-term sustainability, it needed to become mobile. After consulting with the AIA Emerging Leaders program, the concept of a mobile center was developed. To date, the program has saved educators $500,000 and aims to save even more as it becomes mobile. This semester, NEFFIE plans to visit all Northwest ISD middle schools.
