About us
SAVI is a project of The Polis Center, a unit of the IU School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indianapolis. The Polis Center works with its partners to define, measure, and improve community health, well-being, and resiliency. Our strengths are in community and place-based research, analysis, collaborations, and advanced information technologies. Working in partnership with other organizations, we address issues of mutual concern. With our network of relationships, we can bring together disparate groups and interests to find common ground. Our focus areas include population health, community information, and disaster planning.

Asian residents have the highest median household income than any other race category in Indianapolis. However, when compared to the Asian population in 49 other cities, Indianapolis ranks near the bottom. This means that while the Asian population has a higher median household income than any other race category, the Asian household income is lower in Indianapolis than most other comparable cities. In fact, the Black population is the only race category that is doing better than most other comparable cities. https://bit.ly/3yuJdiX #EconomicEquity #UnemploymentGap #Indianapolis #SAVI #ThePolisCenter Indianapolis Equity Report Card - SAVI
