Savills Planning has received a resolution to grant full planning permission for John Lewis Partnership's first flagship build to rent project, above their Waitrose store in Bromley South ➡ http://savi.li/6042leGGu The project will deliver 353 new build to rent homes on a highly accessible brownfield site in Bromley town centre. Amelia Hunt, of Savills planning team in London, who led the project, says: “John Lewis Partnership’s flagship build to rent scheme is an important project, delivering much needed homes for local people. Prime office rents in major cities around the world have risen 3% in the past year, while significant premiums have emerged for top-tier space over the wider Grade A market. ⚽ Savills go for goal at football tournaments ⚽ Colleagues from the UK and Ireland have been taking part in events over the past few weeks: 🟨 Lindsay Gill from the London Residential Development put together a Savills team, one of 24 taking part, for the Stanhope Foundation’s charity five-a-side Football Tournament. Stanhope, one of Savills key clients, launched the Stanhope Foundation in 2021. It partners with charities that have employment-focused programmes in place, including helping people get into work for the first time, or after a prolonged break, or tackling work-related issues due to ill health. While we made it through the knock-out round with ease, scoring 13 goals, we were unable to get past the Stanhope Team and into the quarter-finals. 🟨 A team from Savills Ireland competed at the SCSI - Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland Nexus 5 aside football tournament. They thoroughly enjoyed the day catching up with industry colleagues and are looking forward to returning next year!
