We had the pleasure of attending an incredible #RSAC24 networking event “Japan Night” in San Francisco . The evening was a perfect blend of insightful conversations and potential collaborations. The restaurant was filled with passionate professionals from diverse industries. We discussed potential #synergies between our companies, and we are thrilled about the possibilities that lie ahead. As always, the key takeaway from such events is the reminder that our greatest resource is our network. We look forward to following up with the fantastic people we met and exploring how we can support each other's growth and success. #RSAC2024 #networking #cybersecurity #SF #Collaboration #FutureOpportunities #Compliance Jonathan Hiroshi Rossi C. #Ransomware remains one of the top threat vectors facing across different sectors. #Financial sector is no exception. #China's biggest lender, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) whose U.S. arm was hit by a ransomware attack that disrupted trades in the U.S. Treasury market a few weeks ago. The hack was so extensive that even corporate email at the firm ceased to function, forcing employees to switch to Google mail. The blackout at ICBC's U.S. broker-dealer left it temporarily owing BNY Mellon BK.N $9 billion, an amount many times larger than its net capital, Reuters reported. Officials from the U.S. Department of the Treasury have also confirmed that ICBC Financial Services was compromised through the Citrix Bleed exploits, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) highlighted that LockBit ransomware operators exploited Citrix Bleed #vulnerability to infect organizations with ransomware. The victims of these ransomware attacks are from various industries worldwide. Some of the high-profile victims are Boeing, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), DP World, and Allen & Overy. https://lnkd.in/gC8wBbjh Saya University #securityawarenesstraining ❤️ #GoSaya #securityawareness #financialsector #cyberattack #criticalvulnerability #cybereducation #cybertraining #サイバーセキュリティ #サイバーセキュリティ教育 #サイバー攻撃 Jonathan Hiroshi Rossi Yoshitaka Kashiwagi Crystal Lopez

#Korea ~ South Korea's Supreme Court revealed that it had confirmed the infection of computers used in courts with #malware earlier this year. According to the statement issued by their Office of Court Administration of the Supreme Court, they had identified that the malicious data was emanating from a virtual PC. The Office explained that the compromised server was responsible for temporarily storing case documents before deletion, making it challenging to ascertain what, when, how and the extent to which the data was leaked. The impact of this type of #cyberattack can be severe and wide-ranging, from affecting the functioning of the court operations by causing system outages and rendering essential services inaccessible and the #confidentiality, #integrity, and #availability of sensitive legal information, to involving substantial financial costs recovering from the attack for forensic investigations, system restoration and security enhancements to prevent future incidents. https://lnkd.in/gCkk_wdT Saya University #securityawarenesstraining ❤️ #GoSaya #securityawareness #courtsystems #cybereducation #cybertraining #サイバーセキュリティ #サイバーセキュリティ教育 #サイバー攻撃 # Jonathan Hiroshi Rossi Yoshitaka Kashiwagi Crystal Lopez
