Today is World Mental Health Day! 💚 Here are some words from SC Bar President, Shaheena 'Shy' Bennett, about the importance of mental health for lawyers. The legal profession presents unique stress and challenges that can impact our mental well-being. That's why the SC Bar Lawyers Helping Lawyers program, encourages all attorneys to prioritize their mental health and seek support when needed. The South Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct emphasize the critical role mental health plays in maintaining professionalism and sound judgment. As lawyers, it's essential to ensure your mental health is strong so you can serve your clients effectively and ethically. Special thanks to Shy for her powerful message on this important topic, and to Lawyers Helping Lawyers for their continuous support in offering resources and guidance!
