Happy #TabThruThrusday! Since we're in October, what's scarier than a non-accessible website? Tab through your normal web pages and find the real horror. #Accessibility #Keyboard #Section508 #WCAG

Happy 10/10 Thursday! Time to push aside your mouse and use only the keyboard to navigate. TAB keypress takes you from interactive component to interactive component. Enter keypress is a "click" to activate the interactive component. Keyboard Focus Effects let you know where you are and what would become active upon click. Test away, everyone! Report your findings appropriately. #TabThruThursdays #accessibility #keyboard

Happy Thursday! Push aside your mouse and use keyboard-only to navigate, activate, and complete your daily tasks. Very few websites worldwide actually achieve WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard. Get keyboard-only navigation right and join the super elite club! Be sure to report your findings appropriately. No time to get it done? We can help! The keyboard-only navigation report comes in the WCAG ART workbook, a super dynamic tool. #TabThruThursdays #Accessibility #Keyboard

Have you seen this video? with the regulations ramping up and report after report showing 91-97% of content fails basics.... The stark reality is: a) get a grip with compliance (and check, its free at www.AAAtraq.com/check) b) await legal action, pay $10 - 50,000 (Avg. $27,700) and then get compliant c) do not have websites https://lnkd.in/ejax2Y3P #Accessibility #YouCantFightThis
Businesses 'sitting ducks' for lawsuits because websites aren't ADA compliant

It's Thursday! Keyboard navigation participation day! WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.0 was released on December 11, 2008. Almost 16 years ago and still nearly zero websites get Success Criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard correct. Please prove me wrong! You can just push aside your mouse and use only the keyboard to navigate your company's website or to complete your daily tasks. Is it possible? Can you do your job? #TabThruThursdays #Keyboard #Accessibility

Tip of the day: How not to fail SC 1.4.1 Use of Color when using color alone as a link indicator. Yes! it is possible. Procedure: For each instance where color is used to convey information about text: 1. Check that the relative luminance of the color of the text differs from the relative luminance of the surrounding text by a contrast ratio of at least 3:1. 2. Check that hovering over the link causes a visual enhancement (such as an underline, font change, etc.) Both must be true! https://lnkd.in/gVT34HtV
