About 2,500 8th-grade students from the District’s eight middle schools left U-46 Explore 2024 with a better understanding of the various U-46 Educational Pathways, high school courses, and future career opportunities available in the District. Thank you to the various local businesses, industries, governmental organizations, and nonprofits that spent time answering questions and informing students about the opportunities available in their respective fields. In addition, the District’s five Magnet Academies had teachers and high schoolers present. U-46’s business, culinary, engineering, healthcare, automotive, welding, and precision manufacturing programs were represented, as well as the veterinary assistant program at Burlington Central School District 301, which is offered to U-46 students. The Alignment Collaborative for Education, a non-profit local organization that brings together community resources and initiatives to support District priorities, once again partnered with U-46 to organize the event. Also available was Explore Family Night, a preview event attended by about 600 parents and family members. #U46Proud #Explore2024 #WeAreU46
