  • We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Brad Heltzel to the role of General Manager at Scotchman Industries! This significant appointment marks a new chapter for us, underscoring our commitment to honoring the deep-rooted family values that have long defined our identity. Founded as a family-owned enterprise, Scotchman Industries has built its reputation on a legacy of quality, dedication, and a culture of close-knit collaboration. Our employees embody this spirit daily, contributing to our longstanding success in the metal fabricating industry. Brad Heltzel, formerly our Plant Superintendent, has been a vital part of Scotchman Industries since joining the company in November 2003. Over the past two decades, he has served in various production roles, designed, built, and tested equipment in our special tooling department, and was ultimately appointed Plant Superintendent in March 2016. Brad’s deep experience, dedication, understanding of our operations, and commitment to our values uniquely qualify him to lead Scotchman into the future. Our President and CEO, Kevin Allen, expressed his enthusiasm about Brad’s appointment: “We are thrilled to have Brad take on the role of General Manager. • We've said it before and we'll say it again...because it's true.. We are blessed with some of the absolute best employees. On that note... we've got another one to celebrate! He's handy, he's witty, he's easy-going and he's officially been working with us at Scotchman for a quarter century! June 2nd, Scott Walker celebrated TWENTY FIVE YEARS with Scotchman Industries. Prior to arriving at Scotchman, Scott held miscellaneous mechanic jobs at Dorothy Bros, Philip Motor, Jackson Co and started his own mechanic business, which he still owns. Scott joined Scotchman in maintenance department where he continues today. Since 1999, Scott has worked on almost every piece of machinery owned by Scotchman, and has also been involved in moving almost every machine that has come in our door the past 25 years. Scott says it is always good to see an old machine that he is sick of working on to go out the door. Scott is a very handy fellow. He not only helps keep all the equipment running... he also helps keep the buildings in repair. He can fix just about anything from toilets to machinery--You see him zipping around on his blue cart throughout the day going from one project onto the next. Brad Heltzel, Factory Superintendent says “Scott is a valuable part of the team here at Scotchman. His knowledge of our machinery and building have saved us many times from equipment shutdowns. He has a gift for being able to diagnose problems with equipment and machinery quickly, order the parts needed, and have us back online quickly.” We are all glad you found your way to Scotchman, Scott. We are lucky to have you in our Scotchman Family and want to thank you for your past 25 years of service -- may you stay many more years! #SCOTCHMAN #workanniversary #employeespotlight #blessedwiththebest #americanmanufacturing SMX Industrial Solutions

  • Punching is faster and more precise than drilling, but proper operation is key. Make sure to align the punch and die correctly for safety and equipment integrity. Never punch material thicker than your punch diameter and always lubricate for smooth punching! Follow these steps for safe and efficient operation and see the difference for yourself. Upgrade your punching game with a hydraulic ironworker! We have in-stock punch and die sets, plus a variety of tooling options ready to ship.💪🛠️ #Metalworking #HydraulicIronworker #Punching #SafetyFirst #ScotchmanIronworker https://bit.ly/3W3sbl8
