Visit the new Scouting America Advocacy page and find out how you can support Scouting. As a nonpartisan organization, Scouting America seeks to educate and raise awareness about issues important to Scouts and their families. By supporting Scouting America’s efforts, policymakers will see firsthand how Scouting America is a resource in combating issues affecting our next generation of leaders. We are pleased that our NCAC Scouts are featured in the photo of the U.S. Capitol when they delivered the Report to the Nation. #scoutingamerica #MyNCAC #advocacy #uscapitol
🚨 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬!🚨 Over the past few months, our Communications and Government Relations team has worked to expand our site to include a dedicated Scouting America Advocacy page. Today, we’re proud to launch this new resource, highlighting our key focus areas and ongoing initiatives that support youth development, leadership, and community engagement. As part of our 115-year celebration, Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-Pa.) and Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. (D-Ga.), co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Scouting Caucus, introduced a Congressional resolution recognizing this special anniversary of Scouting America. The Congressional Scouting Caucus comprises Congressmen from both parties who were Scouts as youth, Scouting volunteers as adults, or who simply support the efforts of the Scout movement. Roger Krone, President and CEO of Scouting America stated, “This recognition is a testament to our shared commitment to providing young people the opportunity to make ethical and moral choices throughout their lives by instilling the timeless values of the Scout Oath and Law. We look forward to continuing this important work together.” #scoutingamerica #congress #washingtondc #capitolhill

Scouting America National Capital Area Council reposted this
Earlier today, we kicked off our 115th birthday in a big way – LIVE on Good Morning America. Joined by local #Scouts, President and Chief Executive Officer of Scouting America, Roger Krone, spoke about how #Scouting fosters resilience, leadership and service to prepare America’s youth for the challenges of tomorrow. From Eagle Scouts leading industries to Cub Scouts discovering adventure for the first time, Scouting America remains a cornerstone of character development. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the millions of young people who have benefited from #Scouting and its values. Thank you to all the Scouts, volunteers, families and leadership who help make Scouting possible. What’s next? More innovation and more opportunities for young people to explore, learn and grow. Cheers to the next 115 years! #115YearsofScouting #ScoutingAmerica
